Function and Use:
The station type is a mobile satcom earth station, supporting voice, image, data multi-media transmission. It has interfaces to mobile communication base station Tx/Rx station (BTS), mobile communication base station subsystem (BSS), and mobile service switching center (MSC), and interfaces to terrestrial public telephone switching network, supporting many types of protocol. Due to adopting digital circuit magnifying equipment (DCME), communication capacity is greatly increased and cost is decreased. The station type can be widely used to trunk satcom, emergency TV broadcast, live TV relay, and emergency situation.
Composition:
indoor equipment : image codec, modem, up/down converter, DCME, antenna controller, antenna drive equipment, beacon receiver, monitor unit, etc.
outdoor equipment : antenna, power amplifier, LNA, etc.
